When Rejection Gets You Down [Video]

When trying to accomplish any major goal in life, rejection and obstacles are inevitable. The key is to learn from your mistakes and persist through it until you succeed. This is easier said than done.

This "must see" video is a story about a person who truly inspires me. His name is Kyle Maynard and he was born without ANY arms or legs. I had the great honor of having breakfast with him several years ago.

This video is the story about his life and about his most recent accomplishment (in a VERY long list of accomplishments) which was to climb the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro.

This video is a MUST SEE video. Trust me.

I am good friends with someone with this same condition. He too is more upbeat and positive than most “normal” people. It is a humbling thing to be in his presence, and to see these individuals succeed in spite of everything.

I always have thought that the body size was a primary requirement in order to be succesful in life (at least for men). I even used to related it with leadership and power, just like superman. Wiht leadership and power you have the basic tools to hopefully make a better world, and therefore become an overachiever,as well as a good human being by protecting and helping the weak.

After watching this video, I was able to think out of the box, and keep the faith that things in life dont necessarily need to follow a procedure, or standard afterall, in order to accomplish objectives and goals.

I really hope that Kyle would find his soulmate along the road and have a wonderful family of his own, as well.

  • James Ji Mar 9, 2012, 4:48 am

You guys know what, Kyle Maynard isn’t alone.
Nick Vujicic, an australian guy born with NO limbs at all, lives the same fantastic life as Maynard. Check him out.

And thanks Victor, I thought you were posting about the latter guy but it turned out to be a different person from who I remembered. These stories are way more important to learn than how to squeeze your head into the consulting industry.

  • victor Mar 9, 2012, 4:55 am

I heard about this guy and before I could not even imagine how a quad amputee could pin someone in a wrestling match. That takes a lot of skill!
    Complete respect!
    He has a Big Heart.

  • Nicola Mar 14, 2012, 2:46 pm
