Today is my favorite holiday… Thanksgiving.

On this day, I remind myself to give gratitude and appreciation for the many wonderful things in my life.

I have a remarkable life.

I am grateful to my parents for the many sacrifices they made to give me certain advantages in life.

I am grateful to my friends who support, care, and love me every day.

I am grateful to my children who have allowed me the greatest honor in my life… to be their dad.

I am grateful to my closest guy friend who is now at the end of his life.

(Thank you for weekly phone calls for 10+ years and for being there for me when I couldn’t be there for myself. When life kicked my *ss and knocked me down, you helped me stand back up more times than I can count. I love you.)

I am grateful to be blessed with a brain that can solve problems and think clearly. I’m damn lucky on that one.

I am grateful to have a heart that allows me to feel such deep emotions. While some things hurt SO much, the joy in my life has never felt more joyful.

I am grateful to be alive and in good health. I take neither for granted because someday I will have neither.

I am grateful for my determination and high pain tolerance that has allowed me to persevere through many adversities in my life. What did not kill me, truly did make me stronger… but it sure was hard.

I am grateful to my high school teachers who saw me and both accepted me as I was and showed me my own potential.

I am grateful that I happen to live in an era where one guy on a computer in a suburb of Seattle can reach one million readers every year online. (Had I been born a few decades earlier, none of my life today would have been possible.)

I am grateful to be able to work from home and raise my kids, to be there for them when they need me, and to guide them in their journey to adulthood.

I am grateful to you for reading my work and telling others about what I do. I am both amazed and humbled by all that you do, which allows me to do what I do.

I have a remarkable life.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making that possible.

With Deep Gratitude,

Victor
