What follows is a success story from a CaseInterview.com student who received an offer from BCG in Asia. In this story the student stresses the importance of clear communication and confidence in a case interview.

Just wanted to drop you a quick note. As an experienced hire that didn’t even get interview invites coming out of undergrad and periodic cold web submissions a couple years ago, I now made it to final rounds with Bain and BCG [South East Asia locations]. I’m 95% sure I will accept BCG’s Consultant offer.

Thank you for your materials, particularly LOMS. I’ve ingrained “in answer to the question…” so much that it is rote now.

For your reference. I’ve done over 120 practice cases. But LOMS was still good to calibrate when I would find new partners off the internet, who had yet been indoctrinated into a simple yet effective method of case cracking.

However, I would stress that out here, the importance of clear communication and confidence throughout the entire interview seems to be more important. Because in several cases, even my decision round with BCG, the case went quite poorly. Yet my fit portion and Q&A afterwards went very well. Maybe that is unique to Asia or BCG and Bain. I did not interview with McKinsey.

Regardless, thank you very much. Your materials have positively impacted the future trajectory of my career.
