Case Interview Guide – Video 12: Is Consulting Right for Me?

You would think for someone who is really fond of consulting that I would encourage everyone to pursue it. But, I actually think consulting is the wrong career profession for many people — even if they’re able to pass all the interviews.

Consulting work is done in a very particular way that’s just not compatible with how many people think about business problems. In business, there are MANY ways to be “right” and to be “successful”. The consultant’s way is only one way. In this video, I elaborate on this topic and actually suggest certain types of people think twice about going into management consulting.
