Case Interview Guide – Video 1: Case Interview Introduction

Video 1 in this series of 12 videos on how case interviews provides an introduction to the case interview process. While this basic information is available elsewhere, what isn't as readily available is to learn to see the case interview from the interviewer's point of view.

In transition from being just "okay" at case interviews to be "excellent", it's important for you to develop the ability to see, hear, and identify common mistakes others make in case interviews.

When someone who is new to case interviews hears a poor interview, she'll say "I had a hard time following that answer." An experienced case interview candidate who has learned to think like the interviewer will be able to point out specific mistakes.

In general, if you have the ability to spot the mistakes other people make, then you're far more likely to avoid those mistakes yourself.
